My work exists on a spectrum between the two. Because each of my series is driven by a different 'vibe' or emotion I want to convey, the style shifts to match that intent.
For instance, my Hong Kong Series leans toward contemporary representation, capturing the recognizable spirit of our local hills and harbours. In contrast, series like Gia or Aurum move into abstraction, focusing more on the energy, light, and 'personal geographies' of a place rather than its literal form. Ultimately, my art is about the dialogue between what we see and what we feel.
