Born from memories and musings of the Australian Outback, 'Stratum' translates the fleeting moments when the setting sun casts a crimson glow across ancient rock striations. The painting reveals Nature’s myriad colours at full intensity and explores the symbiotic spaces humanity and the natural world share. This symbiosis unfolds through the landscape's geological formations; just as time accumulates physically in stone bands, human identity is built on a stratum of accumulated recollections and thoughts, revealing both consciousness and the landscape as shifting, ever-evolving repositories of time.
